If the engine light is on you need to get the vehicle plugged into an OBD2 scanner or a diagnostic system to retrieve the trouble codes.
The two lights could be more than one issue. The loss of power would only link to the traction control system if you had one or more brakes calipers sticking in the On position.

Go to Advance or Auto Zone and have them run an obd scan on it and it will pin point why your light is on and could solve your problem. This is often done for free.
