Look closely at the door switches. Sometimes they get compressed too far and no longer indicate a closed door...
the way these switches work, is the FIRST close of the door compresses the switch, meaning that the switch can be pushed into itself... this auto adjusts for differences across different door gaps....

If you have only contact points for the door, be sure that those contacts are totally clean, then test again.

Door chime on 2007 chevy uplander will not stop even when the door is closed properly. Is there anyway to disable it without disabling radio

Had this problem for some time. I have had the dealer replace motor etc. Problem still returns. Noticed that the foam seal around the right side door has started flatening out over time and was beginning to spill into the lipped plate that the door sensor buttons possibly could be prevented from making proper contact. Trimmed approx. 3/8 of an inch off the foam in the area of the plate, and the problem seems to have gone away. Hope this helps.

The sliding door on 2006 chevy uplander will not close just started happening today the back hook looks off not like the one on the other door

Remove the rubber seal at the bottom of the door. It is ONLY there for aesthetic purposes (I asked the dealership). They said that is common and this is what they do to fix the problem.

Power sliding door will not stay closed. once activated the door goes to the closed position then opens back up. how can this be corrected.

Option 1: where the metal contacts on the door meet the metal contacts on the panel, take a high-grit sandpaper and sand those contacts.
Option 2: ensure that there isn't any debris in the tracks that the doors slide on, both on top and the bottom. The vehicle is equipped with a safety sensor that won't allow it to close if something is in its path.
Also check the weather seals around the door for damage.

Chevy Uplander (2006) when sliding doors are closed and then van is put into reverse or drive, chimes begin nonstop inside of car. How do i stop them???

One or more of your sliding door may have lost their learned opened/closed position. Also the door may be binding, obstructed or need a latch adjustment. If a relearn is required return to a GM dealership as a diagnostic scan tool is required.

Chevy uplander 2005 and there is a constant beeping that will not go away its constant ..it has to do with the sliding passenger door they say but how do i fix it?

That happens to me all the time!! I just pull over, put it in park, open both sliding doors halfway then close them. This always gets rid of the problem. It's happening because one of the doors isn't catching correctly when it closes and once u hit a bump or anything you will here the dinging.

2006 Chevy Uplander. The power sliding doors won't shut

2 possible solutions. First clean the door pin contacts(multiple spring loaded pins on door side and matching plate on body) with a scotch pad until shiny gold color again. Second the rear edge of the door should be 1mm inside the body opening when closed. If those are correct it is going to take a software download from a dealer to the door control module to fix this. Otherwise you will have to pull the psd fuse and breaker from the right side dash fuse box.
