I would look at the antenna connections ... you will need to remove the unit from the dash to get to the back of the radio. [Google removal of that specific radio for your vehicle]. You may be able to get your hand up under some dash boards to reach the back of radio?
The antenna conception is typically a round coax conductor that goes to a plug into the back of the radio.
Try moving the plug around while radio is on ... if you get signal pull out connector and clean contacts with rubbing alcohol. Test again and reinstall.
if this the problem uusually these are near the starter usually easy to find because they will be burnt ..start with the easy things first.
Dead battery, corroded batt cable loose batt cables, loose bat cable at starter, loose battery at the ground battary cable.
Temp fix is remove negative cable off battery for a few mins ,then replace, light might come back on but go to autozone have them do a code reader to tell what light means(if the code tells what is wrong)
This may be a anti-theft issue. If it is and you want it fixed, the Chevy Dealter is probably the best place to have this work done, IF it can be done at all. My Chevy radio instructions tell me that if there is a genuine power loss to the radio when the anti theft system is activated (like someone breaking into the car and stealing it, cutting the wires) that the radio will not work again with out GM intervention.
The truck that you drive is know for being pretty reliable, if it were my vehicle and not had not been done yet i would; Transmission service (80-90k), complete hose check (for cracks and damage), fuel filter (if servicable), Cooling system flush, and regular scheduled maintence.
Brought problem to my trusted auto mechanic and he found a simple disconnect/connect where to antenna cable comes into car under front right side under the glove box. It took literally 30 seconds to do.
does it have such an auxiliary input? don't think so.
