Seat tell me my ''intake flap motor'' needs replacing on my Seat Altea 2.0l tdi. I have found one for sale off a Seat Leon with an engine code of BMN. My engine code as far as I can see is BKD. Will this part be suitable for my car?

I am not sure about that model but most Leons have an 'Electro-mechanical' system, Basically it's an electric motor powering the steering so there is no oil.

don t check fue,it is in the book,the fuse list, but better check on wipermotor, 3 wires,2 big one fine,check if pos and neg arive WITH THE HOOD CLOSED if pos and neg found,change wiper motor,it is disease,
I have experienced the exact same thing on my seat altea 1.9 tdi with just 60.ooo km and no prior problems.
It starts but are then cut after few sec??
I had it to service but they couldnt find the problem.

It seems to be usual for this engine to turn over for about 2 -3 seconds when hot but any longer than that you should have it looked at by a technician.
