Look up above your brake pedal and you should see the switch. Depending on the car, the switch either pops out, or just needs a screw to be removed

Replace the brake light switch and the light is still on a 1998 nissan Frontier. I remove the old switch and put a new one on the same problem. Light is still on.

Check the brake fluid level in the master cylinder and make sure the E-brake is not on. The "BRAKE" light does not come on because the brake switch is bad.

My brake lights (rear) remain on even when truck

Your brake switch should be above your brake pedal. For Nissan it will look like a silver cylinder about 3/8" wide. You can try adjusting it down so it better contact the brake pedal in it's up position. It is threaded with a locking nut. If adjustment doesn't work, go for replacement. Good luck and hope this helps.

Hey there..my name is Keith..and you have 2 problems..from my expierence..your brake light problem is usually caused by the switch either bad or loose on the back side of your brake pedal..and your ABS light is uaually caused by a bad sensor in your brakink system that needs to be checked out by a shop..unless you are able to troubleshoot and figure out which sensor is at fault..i hope i helped..if not feel free to write back
