You've got a bad solenoid or a bad vacuum motor. You really need a shop manual with full vacuum and electrical diagrams. Call your local library and ask if they have free access to alldata or Prodemand or buy a subscription to alldatadiy.com or eautorepair.net. Print out the electical and vacuum diagrams and then conduct the tests shown in the shop manual. It's an easy fix but will take more effort to diagnose.

SOURCE: ac will not blow thru ac vents, only thru defrost vents.

if vent doors are operated by vacuum check for loose or broken vacuum hoses in the engine compartment , or check the fuse box for any ac/heat fuses if it is a electricaly controoled system

SOURCE: 2000 Dodge RAM no HEAT/ New heater core / AC evap.

There is a actuator on the right side of your leg while sitting in the drivers seat under the dash. It has a plastic rod for actuation manually actuate this diverter and should be the problem.

97 lumina my air not blowing through vents when its on ac but when i turn it off ac it blows through vents and on ac it blow through just little

Check your vacuum system where it feeds into your AC control system. Likelyhood is you have a crack in some component or a loose hose. Laurin

1998 dodge ram 1500 5.2l, a/c air blows out floor

You most likely have a vaccum supply issue to your A/C control panel/unit. Your dodge has a vaccum actuated mode door and under low vaccum situations (hard acceleration) the mode door will revert to its at rest position (floor vents)...

Follow the small plastic vaccum line coming out of your A/C unit under your hood, it will eventually end up at a source of vaccum, either the throttle body or intake manifold. Somewhere in between you will find your leak. Good luck!!!

Ac fan

Check all the fuses and wiring. That can be the issue.

AC/Heat issues in 2000 Chevy Lumina

If steam is blowing out when the heat is on, the heater core is leaking into the car. If water drenches the floor after running a lot on a humid day, the condensate drain tube is plugged. It is a rubber tube flattened on one end connected to the air box half mounted on the firewall under the hood. Check the coolant level in the radiator to make sure it is at the correct level. If it's not, then suspect a leaking heater core.

I replaced the ac compressor a 97 Chevy Lumina 3.1 and everything is working right. The air is blowing through defrost vents but it is not blowing through front vents. Its a vacuum line loose that is...

The ball is a vacuum tank. It would take the active vacuum line on one side and the other would go to the vacuum line that leads to your ventilation controls. Connect a length of vacuum hose to either side and BLOW through it. If you can't blow through it, that's the side that goes to the engine since it would have a check valve to prevent the vacuum from escaping when the engine is off. If you can blow through both sides, then it doesn't matter which hose goes to which side.

Vacuum leak to AC controls 2000 Chevy Lumina

Check the vacuum lines, starting at the firewall in front of the passenger side and trace backward.

Air only blows on floor with very little coming out the defrost or regular vents.

Hope you have the same set up, sure you do. You may have either crossed your vaccum lines or when you were putting your heater/ac box back together or you may of pinched the vents somewhat closed. Cycle through the different zones to ensure the vents are moving as your are selecting (defrost, floor, ect...) If you think the vaccum lines are correct then you may have a reassembly issue with the Heater/ac box. I had the same problem with my 2000 Dodge Ram 4x4. Use the KISS rule "keep it simple stupid" start with the vaccum lines and all your wiring to the motors, make sure everything is plugged in. Hopefully you'll find it there before going back into the box again.
