Likely you have air in the cooling system, squeeze rad hose a few times, see if that works out the air pocket. Also, when the car is warmed up just quickly feel the rad hoses to see if they are hot all the way around, usually air will collect in the top hose. Heater core might be blocked but that is unlikely.

There is a air mixer door inside the heat exchanger. It might be stucknopen and not allowing heat to enter csb. You can check this by finding the air control cables under the dash with the vehicle powered on move the hest to hot and cold then move the air control to defrost and inside control like to blow on ur legs you should hear a flapping kimda noise from within the air box. Or a sound like a door moving if you see the ckntrols wherr the cables connect and one is off reattach it and try test again this might be yiur issue .. you can you tube heater cad issues it might help aswell

You didn't say if there was an engine light on. I'd check the t.p.s. throttle position sensor. It could be a jumped timing belt, based on the year , it's got milelage.

SOURCE: Noise in front end 2002 zr2 blazer

Two things maybe your problem:1 .Front axle actuator to engage 4wd is not releasing. 2. Front axle u-joint needs replacing. Lift car on jacks with front end off ground. Then spin tires by hand as fast as you can and see if you hear the noise and where it is coming from ( spin in both directions).

Testimonial: "Thank you! It was the actuator that was causing the problem."

SOURCE: 2002 Blazer ZR2 - when set to floor heat only HVAC

Hi, there is a plastic line that runs from the mode switch to the intake manifold or reservoir. The small hose that connects that line to the intake is often leaking. If not that, trace the line thru the firewall to the switch. Take the bezel off and pull the control panel out to see the hoses. start the truck and listen to the back of the mode switch for leaks in the connection or the switch itself. If there is a "T" in the line near the switch, check that too. Finally, trace the lines to the mode door vacuum motors to see if any of the mode motors or attach hoses is leaking. In each case, you've got to have the engine running, and it's basically a listening technique, since the leaks is small. You can tug on the lines to see if that will make the hiss louder. A small leak like that is hard to find. Good luck!

1999 Blazer ZR2. Replacing muffler and tail pipe. Can not pull apartl flange on muffler and exhaust pipe. Bolts broke off and still can't break. Don't have air impact chisel. Would heat help.

The auto store probably sells a big chisel and a 4 lb hammer? If your going to replace anyway, use a hack saw. In my younger days, I've cut many a tail pipe with a hack saw. So a new muffler and tail pipe will have new flanges? I can't see anything from here.
