Check for a bad switch in the door.
Water leaking from the rag top-door seal joint often drains into the switch, causing a short or bad contact eventually.
Same problem here. 03 Saab 9-3 radio was working fine since I had it for 2yrs. then stopped. I checked all fuses and even pulled the radio out to see if there was an accessible fuse to radio. I'm no expert but I believe it may be an internal fuse maybe but then again not even sure if there is one in there. Appreciate any suggestions or solutions.
Hi I'm litoshop in the fuse block on the left hand side of the driver seat behind panel fuse #3 on the first row that has 9 fuses and on the next row fuse # 14 it will be the 5th fuse good luck if this information has been useful please let us know thank you
I have a 2004 Saab 9-3 Arc convertible that had the same problem. The spring on the hinge assembly for the package shelf latch assembly was broken. The part itself is over $300. If you have someone remove the spring, your top will work again. You'll just have to put up with the top shelf hanging down in your trunk about 1 foot, but you can still manually move it to place things inside like your luggage or golf clubs.
