With someone in the car holding the gear as neutral as possible, you'll need to get under the car and look for the linkage cables connecting from the gearbox to the transmission and tighten up any slack

I have a 1100 uno if u select reverse but it wil be in 2nd and if u go in to neutral it wil stil be in 2d gear so it selects 2nd gear by it self and the lever is in the revers position?

This sounds like a linkage or linkage bush has failed. Open the bonnet and find the linkages on the transmission, (gearbox), housing. It should have 2 heavy cables attached to it. Get a helper to work through the gears and watch the linkages and cables move. The linkage should move everytime the gear stick is moved. The cables should also have no slackness to them. If the cables are slack or the linkage doesn't move everytime get a good mechanic to look at it.
Changing bushes and cables involves crawling around underneath the car and trying to get up behind the engine so a mechanic has the tools and vehicle lifts to make this a lot quicker and easier.

Get out gear that stuck in

I used to have an old Holden that did that. On the side of the gearbox were 2 levers that changed between gears. Sometimes if I was a bit quick on changing gears , it used to lock into 1st and reverse at the same time. By using a shifter spanner, I would crawl under the car and manually move 1 gearlever at a time until they clicked into the correct position. You may have the same problem where the gearbox has stuck in 2 gears. Have a play with the shifters while someone moves the gearlever to see if it will drop back into its correct position.

How can i adjust the gear linkeage on my 2000 ford focus it is hard to select reverse gear occasionally.5 speed manual

You may want to grease the fork sliders on the top plate. Check the nylon thickness on the forks for excessive wear. Check for excessive shaft end play between the gears and the case. Make sure the detentes on the fork sliders fully engage. The shift linkage arms have bushings so make sure there isn't excessive wear on the reverse arm .

Front end drivers side clunking noise? Ive changed the ball joints, sway bar bushings and link kit but noise still there...any ideas?

wow, is it 4wd? or 4x2.?
why not get a , shop find it
a person that can hear, and lever parts. and find excess play.
and more. its human thing, no net bunny can answer .
go there, do that
and watch him work. see all that he does.
excess play its called, or excess clearances.
we find it by inspection and man handling some parts.

all you told us is clunking

moving only , only on bumps
only in turns
does so coasting? in gear and out?
or only under power, ?
can you hand bounce the front end and make noises.
can you lift a tire, and feel excess play.
can you lever joints upfront and they show excess play?
an more.

There is a huge play on my gearlever no 5th gear and reverse but 1234 working fine no noise on gearbox when driving when shifting reverseand 5th the gearlever very loose can move it left and right in...

It would help to know what you are working on, but generally "internal shifter" gear boxes will have a plastic bushung on the lower end of the shift handle. When this breaks, fittment of handle becomes very loose. Remove handle unit and replace the bushing.

Clutch not letting engagement of gears, clutch pedal is soft.

hi first thing to try is to adjust the clutch pedal cable up that is done at the gearbox side by adjusting the 10mm nut on the end of the cable, if after you have done this you can then select gears you will most probably need to replace clutch due to wear.if you cant select any gears even after adjusting the cable then it sound like you have a problem with the selector rod a common fault is for the bushes to wear and knock the selector out of line, check for excessive play in selector rod rubber bush.

Jetta 2, First gear is where reverse gear is. No reverse gear?

You may have some excessive play in the shifter bushings or the shifter lever itself. Also check the shifter linkage to the transmission to see if everything is connected.
