Probably bad ignition system which can be anything from a failing coil pack, ignition wires or cracked spark plugs. Look closely for signs of missing by looking for cracks in plugs, bad plug wires or a white/green crusty chalk build up on the coil

Problem with the 1999 Saturn SW How do you check the transmission fluid

Assuming your vehicle is equipped with an Automatic Transmission, it will have a model MP6 or MP7 Transmission both of which have dipstick tubes. Fluid is checked when the following conditions have been met:
1. Engine is warmed up after having been run 15 minutes.
2. While engine is running, Fear Selector has been moved through all ranges and lastly into park.
3. KOER, remove trans dipstick, wipe clean and fully reinsert.
4. Remove dipstick again, and inspect fluid level on stick. It should be between the FULL HOT Mark and the ADD 1 PT or .5L Marks.
5. If needed, use only Dextron-III Automatic Transmission Fluid (ATF)

1999 saturn sw that is losing power and jerking

Your MAF sensor is dirty. It's in the intake and can be cleaned. Use CRCelectronis spray cleaner. do not touch ,rub, or brush delicat and very expensive. do not use compressed air, It will dry on its own. Location, in the air intake ducting in a metal dectio, Wires should give it away. Good luck and make sure your air filter is kept clean and leak free. Ned_

97 saturn sl2 temp light flashing and low coolant light flashing what could be the problem ? coolant is full and the heat works.

If the temp gauge is reading normal, the lights are flashing, and the coolant level is full, the level sensor in the coolant bottle is the problem. I'm a service consultant for a Saturn dealer and I've run across this many times.
