How to hot wire 2001 grand am fuel pumo

  1. why would you want to hot wire it?
  2. fuel pump is controlled through the fuel pump relay
  3. relay is controlled by the computer
  4. if oil press is low or if the computer doesnot see an ignition pulse it will turn off the relay.
  5. this is safety concern if the car is in an accident causing the engine to stall a bypass will allow the pump to run creating a poss fire hazard.
  6. ANSWER TO QUESTION
  7. jumper fuel pump relay connections
  8. carefull jumper the wrong terminals and you may fry to computer.
  9. obtain wiring diagram first

Please check your oil level and add more oil if needed. Check for loose or leaky vacuum hoses. Also check your fuel filter and replace. Change your air filter. You may even need a tune-up with new plugs and wires. Good Luck
