SOURCE: 1988 buick la sabre trouble codes

code 23 is mat sensor signal low wich is the manifold temperatur sensor return valtage is low to the computer. check for a sensor that is on the air cleaner housing that has two wires on it. the connector on the sensor is grey in color. if it's not unplugged replace it.
the code 34 is for the map sensor wich is located on top of the engine. but if you have a bad map sensor you would be writing in for a rough running car or something.
was someone unplugging stuf when this thing was running at one time? - good luck

SOURCE: windows wont go up and down

Hi
I had the same problem with my 2001 LeSabre rear window. Use a small paint scraper to gently pry the door panel in the area of the plastic buttons. Remove the plastic cover surrounding the door handle and there will be a screw to remove. The door panel should now be able to lift up at the window ledge and then you can remove the wiring harnesses from the panel to get it out of the way.
With the window jammed (with a wooden wedge) in the up position, you will see a hex head screw holding the window mechanism to the glass at each end of the glass. Just loosen these two screws about one and half turns. Look at the motor bracket and you should see approx. 3 or 4 hex head screws holding the motor to the metal door panel. Remove those screws and you should be able now to wiggle the window motor and mechanism out of the door panel. You will probably find that the braided cable connecting the motor pulley to the window arms has broken or is jammed inside the motor. I have taken this apart, reset the cable but it only worked once again before it jammed up again inside the motor. Go to your local Auto Wreckers and order a replacement motor and mechanism complete assembly for about $150. GM wants double that price! Good luck!

SOURCE: need to replace fuel pump on 97 buick la sabre

it's in the fuel tank! need to get it u in the air about 4 or more feet of the ground. you may get away with it being less and there is two straps holding the tank it they are attached to the body with 15mm bolts. you will need to disconnect the filler neck where you put gas by taking the hose clamps off and then disconnect fuel lines and electrical after you have it half way down straps removed! ask any more question you have

I put an ignition switch in a 1996 Buick La Sabre, the car started and ran as soon as I tried to roll the windows down it died. Can you tell me what caused that?

Did it ever restart? I would assume that the ignition switch wire connector did not make a good contact with the switch.

Is there an ignition switch on a 1993 buick la sabre other than the key tumbler part?

Yes it is down on the bottom of the steering column under the dash and it is actuated by a long steel rod from the lock cylinder.

I have a 1997 buick la sabre and i need to locate and replace the throttle sensor and i do not know where it is located and how to change it...can anyone help?

The throttle position sensor is on the throttle body, exactly opposite the throttle cable. Locate the throttle cable, and look on the opposite side of that aluminum housing that the big black air intake tube attaches to.

The check engine light is coming on my 99 buick la sabre

Take it to a local auto parts store (Autozone, Murray's, Checkers, Napa) have them hook up a scan tool to get the diagnostic codes, write them down and post them here so we can further assist you. There are many reasons that can cause the check engine light to come on.

88 Buick Le Sabre keeps stalling

It is possible but unlikley. I would see what you are loosing/ spark/ fuel pressure first. I would not tear it appart until you have a better idea of what is going away. Usually something to look at would be the ignition module and crank sensor because they can both be affected by temprature. Good Luck

Air Bag Sensor

Yes You can Replace The Sensor Yourself The Question Is Are You Willing To Tear Your Complete Steering Column Appart!
Also Special Tools Required ( Hex Headed Alan Bolts )
The Sensor Is Located On The Belly Side Of The Steering Column Under The Steering Wheel Beside The Ignition Switch
The Average Cost Of A Mecanic Tools And Labor Is Around $250.00
And Believe Me Its Worth It ! If You Don't Believe me Tear It Appart Yourself
Most Airbag Sensors Are Faulty On PreOwned Vehicles Anyway Because They Where Wrecked Prior And The Dealers Don't Want To Have them Fixed With The Crack Downs On The Lemon Laws In Most States.
Alot Of These So Called Make Shift Car lots Sell Em Every Day with Faulty Sensors !.
Anyway....I Would Suggest Taking It To A Authorized Ford Dealership And Have It Fixed At Least You Have A Bill And A Guarantee it deploys in case of a accident !
