Front end wobble at 50 mph or when I hit a bump or pot hole in my 2005 Wrangler

i had the same problem and thought it was ball joint but turned out i needed a new stabilizer about $30 on ebay.

It sounds like you have a front end problem as well when you hit the hole.

Vibration from about 40-60 mph is usually attributed to wheel balancing, but the onset when you hit a bump seems to indicate play in the steering linkages (tie rods etc) or suspension members and stabiliser bar rubbers but you had that all checked out, that brings us back to the wheel balancing.

you have a condition called 'bump steer' which is caused by bent or damaged front end components. take a good look at the front end again if you are sure it is fine than get to an alignment shop to have it checked out. You may find that when they do a caster sweep of your front end there will be a problem with toe out on turns (TOOT) or steering axis inclination (SAI) cheers

Have the dealer tech run it through pot holes as well This may resolve your problem. Stablizer bushings maybe worn?

You have to make somebody to check the struts, or shocks, and also the axles, this situation is very dangerous because if the problem are the terminals or the axles, they can be broke while driving and you will lost control of the steering wheel... completely. I mean, no steering wheel working, on a car running...

could be a bent rim ? have you changed the universal joints? how about the tie rods and stabilizer bar

most of the time, it's the trac bar bushing. if it's worn, you can death wobble over 40 mph. replace it with a polyurethane bushing.

This usually indicates a problem with the suspension components. Check for play in front end suspension, 1st thing I would check would be the steering damper, it's often overlooked, and could be the cause. If that checks out ok, jack up and check for play in wheels, which could be caused by worn ball joints, tie rod ends, wheel bearings. A lot of possibilities, generally play in any components can trigger the shaking you're experiencing when hitting a pot hole or bump. Good luck!
