Its a renault what else do you expect ,most likely cause is that card thing ,but make sure the plugs are gapped to 25th and are not too wide ,then if it the problem persists sell it and get a ford or a opel ,VW even better or perhaps a citreon ,in fact evan a wartburg ,anything is better than a old renault
P0336 Honda - Crankshaft Position Sensor 'A' Circuit Range/Performance
Possible causes
- Faulty crankshaft position sensor
- Crankshaft position sensor harness is open or shorted
- Crankshaft position sensor circuit poor electrical connection
- Signal plate may be damage
- Starter motor may be faulty
- Starting system circuit
- Dead or weak battery
P0335 - Crankshaft Position Sensor 'A' Circuit Malfunction
Possible causes- Faulty crankshaft position sensor (most common) - Crankshaft position sensor harness is open or shorted - Crankshaft position sensor circuit poor electrical connection - Signal plate may be damage - Starter motor may be faulty - Starting system circuit - Dead or weak battery causing slow engine crank over.
dealer only to re programme ,its a europeon model and they all use encrypted software on renaults ,dont know what year a s plate is so please post year in future.
Crankshaft Position Sensor: Description and Operation
CKP SENSOR (POS)
Component Description
The crankshaft position sensor (POS) is located on the cylinder block rear housing facing the gear teeth (cogs) of the signal plate at the end of the
crankshaft. It detects the fluctuation of the engine revolution.
The sensor consists of a permanent magnet and Hall IC. When the engine is running, the high and low parts of the teeth cause the gap with the sensor
change.
The changing gap causes the magnetic field near the sensor to change.
Due to the changing magnetic field, the voltage from the sensor changes.
The ECM receives the voltage signal and detects the fluctuation of the engine revolution.
6X Signal Fault The 6X output signal is a five volt square wave that is initially high. The signal switches low at each of the six. 60 degrees crankshaft position (CKP) sensor pulses. The 6X signal is used by the PCM for greater rpm resolution and in determining KS circuit (system) (knock ******) windowing.
Diagnostic Trouble Code parameters: DTC 19 will set if:
Three 6X pulses do not occur between each reference pulse. A 6X pulse does not immediately follow a reference pulse
Problem is most likely the crankshaft position sensor or the ignition module.
