The oil pump is located on the bottom side of the engine. It is actually an internal engine part. This is a difficult repair because of space restraints. Most usually you have to disassemble things to get the oil pan off, which is what is covering up the oil pump.

I bought a filter for my 2003 mitsubishi spyder. It looks like an oil filter rather than the common transmission "flat filer". I can't find this filter on the outside of the transmission. Is it by chance...

Yes - that filter requires you to remove the transmission pan - the one with all the bolts holding it on - about 20 of them - it will seem like 100 - also replace the gasket too - filter and gasket and fluid - all at the same time frame

Mr2 transmission

use only OEM Toyota trans fluid. If there is one lesson I learned with my MR2, its that Toyotas own trans fluid is the best. Yes, its a few dollars more, use it anyway.

As for your top, there is a product called Amazing Roll off. Its for boat canvases and its simply the best thing i've ever used. try it, you wont be disappointed.

2003 mitsubishi eclipse wiring diagram

I own a 2003 mitsubishi spyder eclipse GT and my alarm fob broke off its key chain so I havent been using it lately (waiting for replacement). Today I went to use my car (unlocked and opened the door with the key) and the alarm activated. The car still starts but I have to wait till the alarm gos through its cycle before I drive anywhere (embarassment of course). How do I disengauge the alarm system till I get the new fob?

Possible throttle control motor failure. Possible Idle Air Control Valve failure.
Is the "Check Engine" light on? Hard to determine without more info. Sorry.
