Vaccum hose diagram for 88 chevy truck. I put a 350 motor in my 88 chevy 1500 truck from a 95 suburban. I cant get the throttle body to stop idaling to high. I may need a vaccum line diagram for this motor to make things work right.

did you change over all the sensors and stuff from the 88 to the other engine? What happens if you block off all the vacuum lines except for the one that goes to the map sensor?

It may not be a vacumn leak from a line, check the throttle shaft for movement, for example,i had a 89 1 ton 350 and my throttle shaft was moving around a lot and in order to keep it from idling high,i had to kick the throttle pedal. But also check the idle air control valve, which is the round sensor on the side of the throttle body.

Ok I am wondering if my motor in my 91 gmc 5.7 l b8 is a vortec or a 350 it has throttle body carb and not sure thought if I could interchange it with an older 350 ..

Here, is what I think you are asking. The TBI intake from a 91 will fit the same size engine from 88 to 95. The Vortec didn't come out till 96 I believe. So if your 91 is the original engine then it is not a Vortec motor. If you want to swap your 5.7 with another 5.7 (5.7 = 350) Then the 88-95 should work, Just double check your sensors and locations as the plugs may be different and or in different locations. I know my 88 GMC and my 94 chevy (both K1500's) were a little different. Hope this helps.

Why is my chevy venture high revs during idle after temperature starts to rise

if it revs up as it warms up there must be a vaccum selenoids or hose is leaking or defective check fr any OBD2code also have the throttle body clean and inspect all the hoses that go to and from the vaccum ports here's diagram

1990 350 suburban keeps stalling when at stop lights seem to idle down then stall

clean your throttle body.
check for codes; you might have a map sensor problem, or your tps might have a dead spot. 9 times out of ten it is a dirty throttle body; the iac can't react fast enough to regulate air when the small gap adjustment of the throttle body gets contaminated with a tarry buildup.

Do you know where i can find a 'vacuum diagram' for a turbo 350 transmission (1980 chevy blazer...stalls when you put it in gear)

There is usually only one vacuum connection on a turbo 350. It connects to the modulator valve on the side of the transmission. This valve uses engine vacuum to determine transmission shift points. The other end usually connects to a direct engine vacuum source. A "direct source" is a hose connection on the throttle body that has a vacuum signal available at idle. If it doesn't, then it's considered a "ported source".I have had some experience with the chevy blazer/gmc jimmy series, both the early large body models and the small body versions. The stalling when put into gear complaint is most likely caused by a bad intake gasket which is common on the older versions with the small block V8 motors. The newer versions with the vortek motors also had allot of trouble with throttle body gaskets. If these problems have not already been addressed, then there's a good chance that it will take care of the problem. Other possible sources of vacuum leaks are the pcv hose that is hard and brittle. Check the hose out carefully, especially the side that normally faces the engine. Check the throttle body bolts (carburetor bolts) for tightness. I hope that this information is helpful to you.
