fuel tank holds about 12-14 gallons and with the fuel low in the tank it sloshes around and moves the fuel level sender causing the fuel gage to fluctuate. there is a shield in the tank that surrounds the sending unit to stop this but sometimes they come loose and move or don`t work as effectively. how many miles to a tank depends on different factors. mainly on how you drive. in general you might get around 18-20 mpg.
hi there is a knack to doing this..when you insert the keys into either side of the stereo, make sure when you pull up..that you are also pulling outwards at the same time, this then pushes in the locks that hold the radio in...hope that helps
Sound like your fuel pump might need to be replace, while some one crank engine, hit gas tank with hammer (hard), some time's will start, if not possible bad fuel pump.
setting stations on Fords are easy, put it on the station you want to program and push the channel button in and hold for about 2 seconds then it should flash, now the channel is set..now for the clock, with the key on and radio turned off, press the clock button, then press the seek or scan forward or reverse to adjust the time, then hit the clock button again to make sure it sets.
if it's fuel injected, look on the fuel rail for a schrader valve--looks just like a valve stem on a tire but shorter.remove cap, again just like on a tire.turn key to on-push valve stem in as if to let air out if you get air, then gasoline, you have just bled the system.replace cap, start car.if you get no gas, remove gas tank cap, turn on key, listen for ""hum'' of fuel tank.no hum, check fuel pump.modern[plastic] fuel pumps will self destruct if run dry, even for a short time.
