2004 Honda Accord. The windshield wiper blades are banging hard on the bottom. I'm told the arms that goes between the motor and wiper needs replacing. Can I purchase the parts and make these repairs at home?

There is a 10mm nut on the wiper where it connects to the post near the hood. Unscrew it and lift the arm off of the post. Turn it just a little up and put it back on the post. Screw the nut back on and it should work.

How do I replace a 2004 Dodge Stratus wiper motor?

Not to hard remove the wiper blades then take off the shield that goes from side to side of the bottom of the front windshield under there you will find the wiper motor just remove and replace it the same way you take it out. Side note make sure you install the wiper arms at the same location you took them off. :-) Good luck

Windshield wipers bang when operating.

the arms are pressed onto the transmission linkage of the wiper motor. Most likely the nut can be loose holding the arm on and needs to be tighten up. I would loosen it first to be sure the threads are not stripped first before tightening up. If stripped it will need a replacement instead to prevent this noise

The windshield wipers bang

The grooves (or teeth) at the base of the arm could be stripped which is allowing the wiper arm to go past its normal stopping point and bang against something else. I learned this one the hard way.

My 2004 Accord wipers bang on the car during the down swing what could be causing this?

Either looseness of the linkage or install error. If Windshield has been replaced, sometimes they miss align the wiper arm.....

How do you remove and replace windshield wiper 2007 Honda Civic

the Windshield wiper blades have little clips that lock them in place. Most replacements have direction on how to release these, as they are common to all models, and remove and install the new ones. If you are talking about the Windshield wiper motor itself i recommend you get a Haynes repair manual on your vehicle so you have the step by step instruction on how to remove and replace this part.

Wiper arm goes off of the windshield when it is raining

Sounds like you just nee to remove them and reinstall them in the correct position. Take them off, run the wipers for one cycle until they park. Install the arms so the blade is about an inch above the bottom of the windshield.

Windshield wipers on 1991 Honda Accord

hi from the uk to adjust n/side wiper arm ? if you look at where the wiper arm is fitted below screen you may have a cap/covering that conseals the nut that fastens the arm to the motor wiper spindle which has a milti spline for adjusting? remove nut and pull up the arm and reposition as to prevent hitting bottom of screen ?? however if your wiper arms are the type without this nut fastening ? then same principle as above for readjusting but you will have to raise the arm verticle and carefully prise the arm off spindle there is a tool for this job and makes it easier it is a wiper arm puller you may be able to borrow or purchase? they cost approx £11 in uk but can be used for multiple other jobs ? so try 1st method you may be lucky ? when you reposition arm tap it on firmly!when you are happy with position ? good luck !

Windshield Wiper Arm

Pull up on the wiper arm, you will see a tiny little blade on the side of the wiper arm where it goes over the post, take a little screwdriver and pry that out board, this will release the arm from the post, it will be tight, wiggle the arm and pull straight out away from the post.
