Low and High Beams Don't work.

I was driving down a hill, I was turning on and off my dimmer switch when all of a sudden my head lights went completely out. I almost crashed into a river. When I stopped, I found that I could still have lights if I pulled the signal light switch towards me. I was able to get home safely. It is an 04 P71 Crown Vic. What do you think the problem could be?

THE DIMMER SWITCH NEEDS TO BE REPLACED. THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM ON THIS MODEL. IT IS CALLED A MULTI-FUNCTION SWITCH AS THIS SWITCH ALSO CONTROLS WIPER FUNCTION. GOOD LUCK! HOPE THIS INFORMATION HELPS!

It sounds like your actual switch has broken and may need to be replaced

Well the high and low beam lamps use the same fuses, and the dimmer switch handles the ground circuit. So I would check the dimmer switch if both high beam bulbs are ok.

My low beams went out but high beams work

maybe the dimmer switch is bad! the dimmer switch is what turns the headlights on low and high beam.

Is there any fuses or relays that are not in the fuse box on a 2002 buick rendezvousfor the bright lights

The high and low beam lights use the same power source, so if the low beams work the high beams have power.
There is a low and high beam relay controlled by the dimmer switch.
If the low beams work and the high beams don't, and the bulbs are good, check the dimmer switch and the high beam relay.

I was driving and flicked on my high beams and then my head lights went out on my 2004 impala. I turned the switch and they still would not work

One of two possibilities; a blown fuse - check ALL your fuses OR the dimmer switch (lever to flip between hi/low beams) is shorted out and will need to be replaced.

Its reversial for me my high beams wont work what

Good day:
the following is what you can do to test to see whats going on
turn on the headlights, put in high position
2.leave light in high, disconnect the head light dimmer switch, connect a fused jumper between head light relay supply voltage circuit of the dimmer switch and the control circuit of the head light relay. if the high beams come on then replace the dimmer switch, if the high beams don,t come on then.
3.use a fused jumper across the battery positive voltage supply circuit and the switched high beam voltage supply circuit. if the high beam come on now replace the head light relay, if the high beams don't come on then you will have to replace the LH I/P fuse block. I would most likely say that it's the relay just because of the year. I gave you a lot here I hope this helps

Cheers

Head lights on 1990 jeep wrangle won't work

Ckeck the headlight connections they are notorious for corroding. Check the ground connection for the lights. Pull your dimmer switch back as if you were flashing a car to pass and see if they work there. If they do you have a dimmer switch problem.
