SOURCE: windshield washer reservoir tank is leaking how do I replace?

You must remove from it's mount and empty out any fluids that is in tank.fill the tank with water and locate where the leak is coming from. wash tank a few times and the let dry upside down. Get some sand paper (80  grit course) and sand area where leak is, clean area with a vacume or clean rag.you can buy a 2 stage epoxy that comes in an injection form and squeeze it out on a pc of paper and then get a q-tip and mix the 2 components together, fill the crack or hole generously with the q-tip, if you have to,let dry for 24 hours and mix more and put more on. let dry another 24 hours, replace tank back in it's place and you've solved your leak. (epoxy does wonders if its used properly.

SOURCE: Removing the windshield washer reservoir in a 2002 Chrysler T&C

REMOVAL

  1. Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable.
  2. Remove the engine fresh air housing inside the engine compartment.
  3. Disconnect the washer hose at the in-line connector forward of the cowl grille so that the in-line connector remains with the washer hose from the fresh air plenum.
  4. Disconnect the washer hose from the hose clip located on the front fender side shield.
  5. Remove the filler tube screw.
  6. Hoist and support vehicle on hoist or jack stands.
  7. Remove the right front wheel and tire assembly.
  8. Disconnect the left right front wheelhouse splash shield and move aside.
  9. Drain washer fluid from the reservoir and into a suitable clean container. This can be done by disconnecting the windshield washer hose from the front (outboard) washer pump and allowing the washer fluid to drain into a container through a temporary jumper hose connected to the front washer pump.
  10. Disconnect the electrical body harness connectors to the washer pump motors and the fluid level sensor. Slide the red lock on the connector to the release position, then, depress the black tab and pull the connector off the pump or sensor.
  11. Remove the two reservoir mounting screws.
  12. Disconnect the reservoir from the body mount by raising the reservoir upward slightly and then down so that the reservoir filler neck and front washer hose pull through the opening in the front fender side shield.
INSTALLATION

  1. Push filler neck and front washer hose through the opening in the front fender side shield. Connect the reservoir to the body mount by lowering the reservoir down.
  2. Install the two reservoir mounting screws. Torque screws to 8.5 - 11.3 Nm (75 - 100 in. lbs.) .
  3. Connect the electrical body harness connectors to the washer pump motors and the fluid level sensor. Slide the red lock on the connector to the closed or locked position.
  4. Assure that washer is properly routed to prevent pinching and possible inoperative washers.
  5. Connect the left right front wheelhouse splash shield and move aside.
  6. Install the right front wheel and tire assembly.
  7. lower vehicle from hoist or jack stands.
  8. Install the filler tube screw. Torque screw to 8.5 - 11.3 Nm (75 - 100 in. lbs.) .
  9. Connect the washer hose to the hose clip located on the front fender side shield.
  10. Connect the washer hose at the in-line connector forward of the cowl grille.
  11. Install the engine fresh air housing inside the engine compartment.
  12. Connect the battery negative cable.
  13. Verify system operation.

SOURCE: remove windshield washer reservoir

Take off the wheel well shroud. Firdt remove the front right wheel, it will be easier. Then remove the two screws holding in the tank. Remove the two electrical connectons and small rubber hose. Next (or first) grab the filler tube and twist while pulling it from the tank as it is held in by a rubber gromet. Then pull the tank forward and let it drop down. Nothing else is holding it in except the two screws. Removing the filler tube is a must!

SOURCE: windshield washer fluid reservoir - MB ML 350

right where the lines connect to reservoir, has little black seals that leak. I recommend removing reservoir, empty it out, then use RTV silicone and place it between seals and reservoir. Let it dry for FULL day. than reinstall.

SOURCE: how to remove the windshield washer reservoir?

I'm guessing you may have figured this out by now but I had to do it recently.

First drain the fluid from the reservoir. Then remove the car battery. Then the battery tray. I believe it was held on with about 4-5 bolts...one of which threads into a retainer clip on the reservoir itself. Now you have cleared the way to remove the reservoir. It is held in by a few bolts that are accessible from the top side and bottom both. You will have to get on your back and get to those with a ratchet. It will be obvious where these are upon inspection. And finally there is a plastic retainer that goes through the plastic inner fender into a retaining hole in the reservoir. Firmly but carefully separate it from this plastic retainer...you'll probably have to reuse it. After you do that the reservoir is free to move. Unhook the wire harnesses to the fluid pumps. Unhook the lines to the to pumps. Now just pull the reservoir out through the bottom of the car.

Done.

My 2006 Dodge Dakota windshield washer fluid does not spray. I checked the washer pump and it works. The fuses are all good. And the wipers work. When I press the windshield washer button inside the truck...

If the pump works, something should be flowing thru the hose to the spray nozzles.
And if the pump works, everything electrical is working.
How do you know the pump works ?
