2001 Chevy Suburban: Front A/C is very cold...Rear A/C blows warm

The rear a/c quit blowing cold on a long hot haul up mountain grade pulling trailer. Following that, A/C hose blew and the high pressure switch on back of compressor blew. Replace hose and compressor, flushed, evac, and charged. Front a/c blows ICY cold (Yeah Baby!) but rear still blows warm...if I leave it off for a little while and then turn it on I get a little cold air. Did anyone confirm that there is a rear orifice tube that is clogged? Is it part of the rear A/C?

01 suburban blow hot air in front and cold in rear

There's a valve between the front and the back that is supposed to open automatically. I have the same problem on my 1994, but in reverse, I get AC in the front, but it just blows hot in the back. I was told that this valve might be stuck... but no one would tell me where it was or how to get to it and no mechanic wanted to fix it for me. Apparently, if you can find it, it's easy to get it unstuck. Good luck.

I HAVE A 2001 CHEVY TAHOE FRONT AC BLOWS COLD REAR DOESNT

I would agree it might be the valve.
One line should be cold and the other warm or hot.

2004 CHEVY SUBURBAN FRONT A/C WORKS BUT THE REAR DOESN'T TURN ON

There is a blower motor control processor for the back blower - it takes input from the front control and the rear control and decides the fan speed. That processor could be faulty, or the blower motor, or a 30amp fuse in the engine compartment.
In the front system you have a controller and blend doors that direct air thru the heater core and evaporator. You would need to check the operation of those blend doors.

2001 Chevy Suburban rear a/c warm front ice cold

I believe there is a expansion valve located on the back part of the air conditioner on the back right side i believe that could be the problem. I think if I am understanding you correctly, your back air is not as cool as it should be or not cold at all. Might want to check this. If I am not understanding you correctly please let me know again what your problem is.

1999 Suburban, A/C on warm air from front vents, cold air in rear

The car uses the same freon in the front as it does in the rear. If the rear a/c is working, you either have a plugged evaporator in the front unit, or perhaps a bad heater switch. Try switching the heater to hot and see if it blows even warmer air from the front vents. If so, the heater switch is working and then it sounds like a plugged evaporator or maybe a plugged orifice tube. That is a good place to start looking. Hope this helps.

2001 tahoe front heater not working, rear heater blows warm air

I have the same problem with my 2001 Tahoe. The front blower is working, its blowing strong, but its cold air even with the temp setting as high as it can get. The rear blows hot air. The engine temp guage is at about 210ish which is close to being normal (220). I just replaced the thermostate a few months ago, I don't know if its bad again, or it I deluted the antifreeze too much and it frooze the heater core, or if the heater core just went bad. Any one know what the cause could be?
