Diesel engine, grey market kubota, the turqouise

Not about a dodge, now catagory for diesel engine.

Diesel engine, grey market kubota, the turqouise color.
no fuel getting to engine. under rear engine hood is fuel filter, one line runs back to fuel tank, other line looks like it goes to a fuel pump under hood but rather small. a line from it runs to what looks like a another very small filter to check for water. a line from this runs back behind the engine. Is there more than one fuel pump? If so where? There is a fuel **** at bottom of diesel tank and it is all the open. Any feed back appreciated.

Yes there is a low pressure pump and a high pressure(incjector pump) if your no getting fuel to engine check for low pressure pump to be working may also have air in system which is very hard to get out and a diesel wont run untill most or all air is gone

fuel pump. fuse is first, relay 2nd, and glow plug power .
fuse 42 diesel PCM
the 500 page glove box manual does no cover relays, I looked for you.
so that leaves 1 place, the SM the service manual

i can not find the Cummis electrics wiring pages.
the fuel rail has pressure sensor
if you just SCAN the PCM it will show if that is good or bad.
check all fuse first
then SCAN the diesel PCM.

Twin turbo 80 horse power deutz Diesel engine blows black smoke under load

Diesel engines smoke when under a heavy load. Unlike a gas engines, a diesel engine uses fuel that is more like an oil.Smoking is a good indication the fuel is not completly burning because of loaded engine spee. White smoke indicates the fuel is not ignitingefficiently. Truck, boats, tanks abd anything else using diesel fuel will smoke when it gets more fuel than it can use.. Easing up on the throttle will lessen the smoke but not eliminate.. Of coarse if the demand is lessened by applying less loadyhe fuel consumption drops. Not to worry as long as the smoke doesn't attract the EPA.

Kubota M 5030 2.8 6 cyl. Diesel in oil sump. Why?

Diesel gets in the sump from an seal leaking in the fuel pump through to the drive gear and out into the sump. If it has an inline pump( one where the injector lines are in a row at the top of the pump) the fuel will be leaking past the plunger elements and into the pump sump which then drains back tot he engine sump. IF it is slight but consistent sometimes injectors will dribble when shut down and the fuel will by pass the piston rings into the sump. Talk with a diesel pump and injector repair specialist for any faults particular to the Kubota fuel system
