Car won"t start even after jump!

Came out to my 2006 G6 last night and the remote would not unlock the car, so i did it manually. When i tried to start it, it was completely dead, no lights or anything but the red glow of my radio face was flashing. Tried to jump the car and still nothing. Could I need a new battery or does it sound like a computer problem?

2006 g6 gt will not start, does not turn over, no clicking

have a load test done on the battery as I suspect you have a dead cell or broken cell bridge.

Opening car with key sets off alarm.

Open up your key and dry it first of all.
Then retry.

Or you could try using your spare set of keys.

2005 G6 remote . lock won't work but unlock does. Does not seem to be battery. Maybe the connection inside ?

Knowing the poor quality of this remote I would buy another remote on eBay and that will likely solve the problem. Here is a link to an eBay auction. Just $17.99 and free shipping.

The anti-theft system has armed, we do not have a remote to use to deactivate. we can't start the car...how can we de-activate the system without a remote?

By manually unlocking the driver side door with the vehicle's key, this should disarm the alarm system. If it fails on the first attempt try turning the key to the unlock position twice in a row. This is the standard security procedure in case of remote loss or malfunction.

Hi, I got up this morning to get into my 2006 Pontiac G6. I hit the remote to unlock the door and it didnt respond. I then opened it using key and no power to the car what so ever. I tried jumping it and...

By no power, do you mean the lights and other accessories don't even work? If so, I'm not sure that's a security system -- they usually only kill the starter, but I'm not sure about that one specifically. Try arming and disarming the system and see if it works then. If no interior lights are working, etc. you probably have a very dead battery or possibly a bad connection. Hook up the jumper cables again but leave them on with the working car running for 10 min or so, then try to start it. Batteries can get so dead that they won't jump right away, especially with light-duty cables.
