This procedure sounds correct as long as the timing is set correctly. You can locate this particular plug, usually on the firewall in line with the harness. It will simply be a plug that goes to nothing and has a cap in it to close the circuit when not setting timing. Hope this helps, good luck!

Why is there water coming out the throttle body on my 1999 oldsmobile 88 3.8litre

Hi Henry, Im AL the owner of Big As Auto Repair.

Henry, anytime there is water coming from the throttle body, it could be a cracked head, blown head gasket OR the intake manifold gasket is blown at one of the water ports on the manifold. Hope this helps and please visit my auto-repair-website at:

Hi I have just rebuilt a 4.3L in a 1998 GMC Jimmy 2whell drive and it is leaking oil out of the intack manafolds builts why

If the intake is not properly put into place, oil can leak out of the ends. Use new gaskets, and silicone on the corners (2 front) (2 back). spray the gaskets with red tacky sealer, torque the intake, and make sure there is no cracks under the intake (on the bottom of it). Also if you machine too much off of the heads when you resurface them the intake may have to be machined as well. I hope this helps.

1987 Nissan Pickup with Z24 Engine, Started to have rough Idle when Cold, I put new plugs all 8 Cap and Rotor, Checked hoses for Vacumm Leaks, When It warms up It Improves a little.

The coil wires may be inter changed or the one coil might not be friing. the intake cam in the most senseitive so if one coil is'nt firingyou can switch the coils as they are the same part and put it in the other coil wire and the other set of primary wires and put it all back together If it now fires on the exhaust side the coil is bad and just but a new coil if it still only runs on the same side you may be having troble with the distrubuter pickup. If you are a reman distrubutor from an auto parts store is the way to go as they have a warrentee to be good and the common man has the skill or the tolls to rebuild the distrubutor with a new pickup.

I have a 98 gmc 1500 i am removing the intake manafold but when u pop off the throdly body their are wires under how do you remove them because i cant get the manafold off

Those "wires" are actually your injectors, dont pull them out, just pull the plastic manifold up over the injector tubes and you have access that way, because the plasic part of the manifold just slips over the the big plug for your injectors, hope this helps :)

I need to know how to install a fuel pressure regulator on a 98 GMC K3500 4x4

The fuel pressure regulator is located under the upper intake manifold or plenum. This large aluminum casting must be removed for access.I assume this is a 454 c.i.d.old body style pick up. 2000 was a split year for GM. Both old and new body styles.

1999 GMC Jimmy Running Hot w/ Engine coolant reservoir empty

I guess the burning question is , where is the coolant going.
Is this a 4.3 engine? How many miles does the vehicle have?
Has the intake gasket been changed?
I'm guessing a can of "Bars Leak" may cure your problem.
Let me know.

1990 GMC jimmy 4.3 liter v6 is Being a ****

check to see if you have your plug wires at the right location on distributor cap. If you don't have a digram they are as follows- right side 1, 3, 5 front to rear. Left side is 2,4,6 front to rear. #1 should be on the location at front of cap closest to intake manifold. firing order is 1,2,3,4,5,6. Hope this helps. KS
