Left side of brake light wont turn on, when headlights are on.

The issue is that the brake lights work fine when im driving with headlights off, but when i turn them on the Left brake light turns off whenever i step on brake, but the right one doesn't. I I checked Bulbs, possible wire damage, couldn't find any Exterior damage. Thanks in advance.

They have many problems with the sockets and bulbs.. take bulb out look at bottom of bulb see if the two terminals are melted together.. also check good for ground to socket.... bad grounds and sockets get to hot i wouls recheck good... also if you see a little black module on light housing that will be the lamp out module... to let you know you have a lightg out.. if you have that option.... try replacing

If you are not getting power from the headlight switch for that circuit, but the other side works, you'll have to trace the wiring. The socket has two wires plus a ground. One wire is for the tail lamp circuit and the other is for brake-turn signal.

1990 Volvo DL Sedan Brake Lites Work but Also Come on With Running Lites

Is there a switch on the left side of the dash that has a red lens and a wavy line across it? If so, you have a rear fog light switch and it has been activated, causing your brake lights to come on each time you turn your headlights on. Flip the switch and the rear lights should display only the parking lights with the headlights on.
