need to have the code read most auto stores offer service for free the code will assist in what the vehicles computer found a fault with -with repair or correction of problem can have scanner clear codes or with repair it will reset
I suspect that there is nothing wrong with the speedometer but what you are looking at is a tachometer (engine RPM counter). Oscilations in engine RPM's is normal and generally points to a tuning problem of the engine. It may be from incorrect chain tension as this would change valve timing as the chain flaps around and cause a change in ignition timing as well. IF it concerns you the readjust the chain tension to the correct setting.
Its probably the binical its self dash board that is you can check the fuses in the fuse box first though also you can take the binical out or pull it forward to make sure the scart lead type conector hasent come lose or you can take the lower panel out from under the steering wheel and put your hand up the back and have a feel there are 2 1 each side hope thus helps cheers ivan
If you're referring to a switch which is usually has a "one touch" operation, then it's a partial failure of the electrical relay for that window.
To confirm, if the passenger window also has one touch then swap the relays over (the vehicle handbook will tell you where they're located). If it's the relay then the problem will be swapped from one side to the other. If not, then it's the switch.
Unless you have auto-electrical experience then get this job done by an auto electrician, or by your Mercedes dealer if you want to pay through the nose... It's usually a quick and (by Mercedes standards) a cheap fix, but if the switch is at fault it may cost a bit more.
the "tool " is refering to service work. Could be fuel related but not really the fuel filter. do you have plenty of miles between services. otherwise may be showing you that your service is due. and mileage will suffer. I am assuming you have no loss of power? No power loss no fuel filter problem. check when the next service should be done and check your air filter. another big thing that trips sensors and leads to poor mileage.
