Lucas heat control, <giggle> ..Have you checked the coolant level, there are often bleeds that need to be attended to from time to time, as well as after surgery.... Also, heater on full blast during all coolant fill procedures.

Then feel hose going to and away from heater core, by firewall.....easy to knock or cut a vacuum control hose to heater valves along the way, not sure if your uses that style...

Okay 2001 ponitac Aztec We have two of them. This one I was turning the heat off and heard a click it sounded like something broke and Now the heat won't turn off at all! Please help with any sugg

Sounds like one of the blend doors stuck and-or the actuator motor broke. The blend doors direct air flow thru the heater core and the evaporator as well as out the vents. They are controlled by small electric motors.

Remove the plug from the heater control valve to check water flow.If cabin heats up OK then the fault is electrical. If not my be airblock/leak in system.

2000 jag s-type heater blows warm-cold all positions funtion but no heat

Replace your heater control valve, its the device that channels hot water either around your engine only or when the valve opens it channels it through your cabin also..
They are quite common to fail on pre02 cars...
if all your electrics are ok, and the car is running normal temps, try feeling the pipes around the valve.. its located behind radiator left side looking down.. could even check all related fuses, just to be sure..
Good luck

My 2002 s type jaguar doesn't heat. the fans

Probably the heater control valve, had same issue, started with one side not hot, then erratic, hot then cold while heat is set to hot, now both side are cold to lukewarm. diagnosed as heater control valve, common for jag s-types and x-types. located on the passenger side, down low the side of the radiator, it has several hoses into and out of valve, and a electrical connector.

Heater runs hot full time had new valve s type jag alan

Without additional information, it sounds like the new heater valve is not connected electronically. Without voltage the valve will default into an open position, causing the heat to stay on. check electrical connection to valve, simply press on top of connector to ensure tight fit. if ok, check fuse.
Once its connected properly the valves will close automatically and will only allow hot water to flow to heater core when driver turns it on from climate control switch.

AC blows hot air intermittanty

On the passenger side of the engine compartment near the radiator you will see a coolant control valve that has heater hoses running from it to the heater core inside vehicle. This is probably going bad.You can clamp off the hoses with some pliers while it is acting up and see if this stops the heat.If it does then it is probably bad.

Cold air

Sounds like its the blend door actuator has failed or loose or cracked vacuum line going to it. These are usually not fun to replace although I dont know about your specific model, but most that I have seen you have to remove the dash.
