Bad Crank Position Sensor. If the sensor is telling the computer the crank is in position when it isn't the computer will get a fault. Another more likely problem is a bad timing belt. If it is loose you will get this problem as well. This can happen if one of the guides has come loose or if the belt is just old. That is why it just keeps changing position for no apparent reason.

The easiest way to remove these crankshaft sensors is to pull the transmission out. They are in a very poor location and anyone with a moderate size hand has trouble pulling these out without pulling the transmission out. The vehicle will not run if this sensor is out, and i recommend replacing it even if it wasn't bad if you ever have to work on your transmission or ever have transmission work done. Knowing you have a Dodge, presuming it's an automatic, you will, and i repeat, will have to get transmission work done.
