Weren't working. Dash lights and tail lights would work when headlight switch on Park position. When switched to headlights, then dash and tail lights went out.
So I fixed the brake lights and fog lights, STILL no tail lights. After fixing those, the headlights went out. (low beams only) so then I was told to change out the bulb failure sensor. So I did that. In the meantime, the right tail light stopped working (ground had pulled loose) anyway, so when I put in new bulb sensor, headlights worked again. I then went to replace the ground wire on tail lights. Headlights out again.
So with new bulb sensor still installed, low beam headlights don't work, nor do the dash lightds when switched is turned to headlights, tail lights still wont work. But yet dash and tail lights work, when headlight switch is set to park lights. All fuses are fine, all bulbs are fine. And after turning on headlights, I hear a click under the hood, so obviously the headlight relay is failing or gone. But I still don't understand the no tailights.
So I'm considering now, changing headlight relay and headlight switch. So how do I remove the headlight switch? I have pulled the harness off with no problem, but I have pulled and pulled on the switch itself, but can't remove it. Is there something holding it in place?
Do you think that will solve my problems? I'm on limited funds so replacing both is going to be awhile. Is there a way to bypass the light switch? Maybe install a regular toggle switch or something? Making dash, headlights park lights etc, run all the time?
The relay has nothing to do with the tail lights, but replacing the switch sounds like a good idea. There's a nut holding it in place, see http://www.skandix.de/en/spare-parts/electrics/switches/switch-headlight/1027524/ to get an idea of the construction. And the price. This is not worth fiddling about unreliable workarounds...
In addition, if fuses 15 and/or 16 burn frequently there might be a problem with the tail light cabling.
Good luck

Check the wiring in the lights it may be poor construction or mis care that has madr a wire become looseand only rarely turn on
SOURCE: high beams wont turn on.
First place to start is with headlight switch. I did have a case many years ago when both high beams were blown out at once, but this is rare. When you have the headlight switch out, jump power from te low beams to the high beam contacts. If high beams come on, replace switch.

There is more than one relay I know but make sure your bulbs are good I HAVE seen this happen more than once.. low beams can go at once.. and still have hi beams check this first please .. Jerry
