My 98 ford explorer wont start all the sudden, just one click...all the lights and stereo work...just suddenly wont start...what do i do

One single click every time you turn the key to the crank position is a pretty good indicator that the starter is bad. You can confirm this by checking for power on the small red wire while a helper holds the key in the crank position and making sure that the large red wire has battery power as well (this only works when the vehicle will not start). If both of those check out fine than replacing the starter will likely fix the problem.

2002 chevy blazer wont start when temperature falls below 20, when I turn the key on I can hear the selenoid cliking but the starter wont turn over head lights dont dim sometimes after trying a few times...

Start by cleaning the battery terminals with baking soda. Start with the negative, then positive. Then reconnect the positive and then negative. If you can remove the battery vent caps check for low acid level. Fill with distilled water if low.

2004 volvo s40 deisel wont start.

connections at the starter or the starter itself. see that the engine can in fact turn over, that it has not seized. the starter has two connections, one big and one small. check that the small one is getting 12v when the key is turned to the start position. if it is, then the starter needs to be rebuilt or replaced

Have a 1994 grand jeep cherkeet larado and it wont start started fine yesterday check battery , fuses all good

you may have a bad starter solenoid.using a test light at the starter the light should be lit on the large wire terminal and with someone trying to start the car yhou should have the light on when the key is turned to the start position.it you have a volt meter you should have battery voltage on the large wire and the same on the small wire when the key is in the start position.you can try tapping the starter when someone tries to start the car.if it starts then replace the starter.its the most common problem.

My car wont start battery is not dead, but wont turn over?

if the battery is fine check if you hear a clicking noise coming from the starter motor when you turn the key to try and start the engine.
If you hear this noise then this is a good indication that the selenoid has failed meaning you need to replace the starter motor.

You can give the starter motor a hit with a piece of wood as some times this will get the starter motor working just to start the car but this isnt a permanent fix and could leave you stuck if you used the car.

Now if the starter motor isnt clicking but you hear a clicking noise coming from either the cars fuse box or the ecu when you turn the key to start the car then this would indicate a problem with the imobiliser this would need testing using a diagnostic machine as their is no other way of testing this to find out if its at fault.

Let me know how you get on or if you need further assistance ok

Car wont start...sometimes

Sounds like a bad starter solenoid, usually cheapest and easiest to replace the starter and solenoid as a unit. It is always best to check for power between the solenoid and the starter with a test light, if the solenoid clicks but the test light doesn't light up you have found the problem in the solenoid.
