On my 2004 toyota,,,directly behind the passenger side front seat (have to push passenger seat all the way forward to see it, there is a small square flap in the carpet,,,lift that up and underneath is a big bolt which you turn counterclock wise with your spare tire lug wrench and the tire will lower to the ground. thats about it. good luck

On my 2005 Sienna FWD, the carpet flap and nut are precisely between your feet as you sit in the middle row, right side. They are NOT direcctly above where the tire is stored, as I was incorrectly advised by Toyota. It's a pulley system, and loosening the bolt will lower the spare.

On my 2001 Sienna, there is a small flap of carpet in the rear luggage area - underneath this is a nut you can turn with the lug wrench, this lowers the tire using a pulley & wire system, Once the tire is on the ground, you can release the wire easily.
Pretty neat system - don't see why they would change it from year to year,

How do I get my spare tire off my 2006 toyota sienna xle? More specifically, how do I access it if its under the floor of the back storage area. (I looked in the owners manual, and it says there'd be a nut...

Lift the hatch open, usually that nut would be covered by upholstery. Find the U shape cut-out on the carpet, flip it open and the nut is there (true for 2000 Sienna CE). Unscrew and the spare would slowly drop to the ground then you would unhook and free the metal holder from the middle of the spare once the metal cable is lose enough.

Took my 2006 sienna in for the spare tire carrier recall. They had to replace the entire assembly. The nut that releases the tire is 5 sided rather than 6. My owners manual doesn't say anything about...

No they supposed to give you the special nut, or installed in the back of your sienna in a little bag inside the crank and jack compartment.

Looking how to lower spare tire on toyota sienna van

Hello. Welcome to FixYa! Please allow us to assist you.

The procedure is as follows, to remove the spare tire from a 2WD Sienna:

Move the passenger seat as far forward as possible.
Move the passenger side middle seat back as far as possible.
Obtain your tire tool (the one you would use to remove the lugnuts)
Observe the carpeting behind the front passenger seat; you will see a small piece of carpet, like a small 'flap', that can be raised.
Under this flap is a small silver 'bolt'. Fit the lug wrench onto this bolt, and rotate it. This will lower the cable that raises the spare tire up under the area between the passenger front and rear seats.

Note: 4WD Siennas do not have any spare tires, as they came with 'run-flat' tires. Toyota did not fit a spare on the 4WD units.

Thanks for choosing FixYa for assistance today.

Where is the sienna 2006 spare tire?

If it's all wheel drive, there is no spare unless the add-on has been installed. You would find it inside the rear hatch in that case and you would'nt be asking. If it's front wheel drive, it will be under the passenger side floor, adjacent to the sliding door.

2005 Toyota Sienna is shaking/vibrating between 50 & 70 mph. What might causes be?

Most likely the tires are causing the problem from being " out of balanced ". They start vibrating at certain speed ranges depending on how far out of balance.

Take the Sienna in for a rotate and balance on the tires. Set air pressure at 35 psi. That should solve the problem.

THE TIRE PRESSURE LIGHT WOULD NOT GO OFF

When checking the tire pressure after the 'tire pressure light' comes on make sure to check the spare tire also.

Same light...

That light on the toyota sienna is drumroll please,,,,,,,,,, the air in one or more of your tires is low!! It would have made more sense to have a picture of a tire or the word tire or whatever,,, not sure what that symbol actually is, but check the air in all your tires and One will most likely be much lower than the rest. The tire pressure on the sienna I believe is 35 psi all 4 tires, but you can double check by looking on your doors.

Where is spare tire located, i can't find it any where on my 2008 toyato sienna.

Underneath, right side, towards middle. You get it down by putting middle pass. side seat all the way back, pass. seat all the way forward. Pull up the mat, undo the bolt, the spare tire drops. There's a little piece of metal holding the spare tire: take that out and put the tire on.

Can't find the spare for my 2004 toyaota sienna?

If you have the standard tires on the van the spare is located under the van about center. If the van came with "run flat" tires, there is no spare.

WHAT IS THE NAME FOR THE CABLE THAT HOLDS THE SPARE TIRE UNDER TH

your post was cut short, but cable that holds the spare in place is what I think u were asking, and that would be what u call it, 'the cable that secures the spare tire, or lowers the spare tire'
