if you're talking about a 2000 Jeep it's electronic.

If it's a lot older, then it could be vacuum assisted and you're going to need a good diagram

very easy way follow the evap canister vacuum line also it goes to under the powerv supply pat .and check the engine pcv valf line and breaking hose ,and around of the throtle ..because the vacum problem connected with this systeems

If it's attached to the diff housing and not to the box on the r/f axle (if you have one) it is a vent hose. Just secure it anywhere out of the way on the firewall. Don't pull it tight or when the axle moves it will fall off again!
