REMOVAL & INSTALLATION
(see Figures 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8)

Carter BBD

  1. Remove the air cleaner.
  2. Disconnect the fuel and vacuum lines. It might be a good idea to tag them to avoid confusion when the time comes to put them back.
  3. Disconnect the choke rod.
  4. Disconnect the accelerator linkage.
  5. Disconnect the automatic transmission linkage.
  6. Unbolt and remove the carburetor.
  7. Remove the base gasket.
  8. Before installation, make sure that the carburetor and manifold sealing surfaces are clean.
  9. Install a new carburetor base gasket.
  10. Install the carburetor and start the fuel and vacuum lines.
  11. Bolt down the carburetor evenly, tightening the bolts in a criss-cross pattern to 7 ft. lbs. (9 Nm), then to 14 ft. lbs. (19 Nm).
  12. Tighten the fuel and vacuum lines.
  13. Connect the accelerator and automatic transmission linkage. If the transmission linkage was disturbed, it will have to be adjusted.

If you go to AutoZone.com and register (free) you can nagivate your way to the "repair info" section. Once there look at the list in the center of the page and click on "emission controls:, after that look on the left side of the page for "VACUUM DIAGRAMS". the proper vacuum diagram should be there for your truck.

I need a 22R aisan carburator diagram so I can rebuild my carburator.

purchase the carburetor rebuild kit for your carburetor and it should have instructions in the box to aid you in rebuilding it . Remember , to do it correctly you must get an acid wash tank to submerge the entire carburetor body into before you install the new parts . And be sure to clean it thoroughly after you remove it from the acid dip tank .

Lost a part to my carburetor have no idea what it looks like, It is called a weight and fits down into a well in the lower body of the carburetor. the rebuild kit does not have a diagram of the parts and...

Go to a junkyard and buy the carburetor off another truck. Parts are not generally available for 29 year old carburetors. Then make one good one out of the two old ones and your kit. If it is a you can probably buy a new carburetor from Holley to fit the truck. They are expensive. Good Luck.

Need a timing belt diagram for ford ranger 3.2L engine

Do you mean timing belt or serpentine belt? The timing belt on vehicles only goes on one way - over 2 or 3 pulleys with a possible tensioner holding the proper tension on it.
The serpentine belt is the outer, visible belt that runs the water pump, alternator, power steering pump and air conditioner pulleys with another one or 2 pulleys in there just for fun. There should be a routing diagram for that belt on a decal attached to the underside of the hood - or on the radiator shroud. While it may seem to go on other ways it is crucial to install it correctly. Compare the old belt (if it is available) to the new one for proper length. The correct routing of the proper belt makes sure that all the equipment pulleys are rotating in the proper direction.
