When shall I change the oil filter for my C230 Kompressor

I have a Mercedes 2003 C230 Kompressor with 140,000 miles. I have only done the oil and filter every 3,000 miles. When shall I change the start plugs and the fuel filter?

Stick with old school every 3k miles, you should have your transmission flush/change filter with that many miles, it will make your tran-ny last allot longer. spark plugs and fuel filter every 50k. stick with 93 octane, it worth spending .10 cent more keeping your injectors and valves clean or run it once a month full tank.

IMO i think changing the tranny oil causes the filter to clog A LOT faster creating a blockage and you dropping your tranny while driving it. I have found that letting the tranny oil go for the life of the tranny.

Is a better option then changing it at all. BUT always add tranny fluid when low...obviously

If the plugs have never been changed at 140,000 you should change them. Spark plugs nowadays last about 100,000 miles. The fuel filter should be changed every 10-15,000 miles. Also everytime you do an oil change you should check the air filter.

Yes, i have a c230 mercedes kompressor.

not necessarily
when diesels knock and diesel at low rpms it generally indicates a dribbling or leaking injector/s
have an accredited diesel repair shop check it out
If it has some miles on it and the injectors have never been done then the injectors are a fair bet

My car 2003 c230 kompressor engine oil and coolant mix at the coolant resevoir tank after i done the head job still the same problem

Does it have a motor oil cooler cooled by motor coolant that could have possibly leaked thru? Transmission fluid cooler?
Was there tell tale on the replaced head gasket indicating a leak?
Condition of a replacement head is important, with no warps, cracks.

Engine Light On

Do NOT take it to Jiffy Lube or any non-Mercedes place (independent shops are fine) for oil changes -- yes, the $150 oil changes are killer, but you need them. Your car is meant to go 14,000 miles give or take between oil changes. The oil (Mobil 1) and filters (Mann/Mahle/OE Genuine) that MB uses on your car are meant to last that long. The Fram/Purolator and Pennzoil/Quaker State/generic that Jiffy Lube puts in will last 3000 miles -- and even at that are not of sufficient quality to lubricate your engine properly.

Find a good independent Mercedes shop, it sounds like you're getting scammed by the dealer.
