That is the main power distribution fuse. It supplies power to everything in the car. I would advise you to check all the main [heavy] wires going out of the fuse box. Also check to see if your alternator or starter is shorted out. When does the fuse blow? Does it happen immediately after you install it? Does it happen after you engage a certain electrical device? [suspect the circuitry to that device] Charlie PS Is this a coupe, sedan or a station wagon?
you should check the fuses first, then ensure power to the motor in the passenger side if no power check the switches for the power windows. Also it is common for window motors/ regulators to fail and have to be replaced. If the driver's one is running slowly remove door panel and lubricate the cables and tracks with some rust check or wd 40 etc, etc... and silicone lube on the guide tracks at either end of the window. hope this helps
On the under-hood fuse panel. Number 6 is a 20 amp fuse that controls Right Rear Power window Motor, #7 is a 29 amp and controls the right front power window motor. #11 is a 20 amp fuse and it controls the Left Rear power window motor and switch... #12 is a 20 amp fuse and controls Left front power window motor and switch. There is also a relay with the letter C I believe marked on the lid that controls the Power windows. Not sure if your car is a four door or not and you might have another fuse inside the vehicle in the fuse panel that is #10 fuse that also controls the power window relay. I have the information and drawings of your fuse panels if you would like them sent to you. Send me your email and a shortcut to this posting and I will send you them. [email protected]
Yep, most common reason is a phisical obstruction inside the door panel, remove the door panel and have a look. If it is the window regulator, that had gone faulty again, then check the wiring for a possible short.
