Jaguar 1995 xj6 3.2 anty lock light on dash will

When you release the parking brake (while keeping the handle pulled) reach down or use your foot and pull the parking brake pedal up . If the light goes off, the switch needs adjustment

check your third brake light. replace bulbs if needed. had same experience. the light in dash went out and cruise control began working!

if the security light is on in the dash it wont crank or start it is a anti-theft lock up and is probly the wires that go from the key cylinder to thebody controler that are broke you need the change the lock cylinder and get new pass keys for it

it has a mercury switch in the light unit pull the wires off and this will cure it

i have a 1995 buick centry and my anti lock light came on should i be concerned about anything? my bracks work fine.

I was told that sometimes this light goes on if you hit a hard bump in the road, etc. Disengage the battery, wait a few minuets, and reattach. This "reboots" it and it worked on mine. If it still comes on, take it to the mechanic - brake issues.

I'll guess it's the same as in my 95 XJ6 which is on the dash above the radio.

sounds like the abs ???warning light dealer only unless you have specialised equipment

Mine did this this year too. First the antilock brake light came one. Then we started having problems with the car not recognizing the brake pedal was being pushed when trying to shift out of park. Our solution ended up being a stuck brake sensor. Under the dash and above the brake pedal was a small rectangular box with lots of wires. My husband unplugged all of it, cleaned out some gunk, and freed up the springs. Immediately after the anti-lock brake light went off and has not been back on.

bulb failure light is from one of the relays found attached to each light... if one of them sticks the dash light will go on even if all the lights work.... solution.. buy inexpensive relays on line and substitute until you find the faulty one.....
