What are the amps and volts on 1995 Monte Carlo

I bought an air compressor that plugs into the cigarette lighter. The package states you have to have the right amps and voltage. What are the amps and voltage in a 1995 Chevy Monte Carlo?

I have a 2002 chevy monte carlo with a cigarette lighter not working in the front or back and I have checked the fuses on both sides. I have replaced one side that was a blown fuse.

Check the wiring on the back of the cigarette lighters, and check your fuses again some fuses have more than one application.

Using cigarette lighter for air pump

It is very likely the cigar lighters circuits wiring sizes are not suitable for the amp draw of the compressor, i suggest you not use it as a power source. Buy clip leads and solder them on and use the battery as the power source. You can obtain the electrical clips from any hardware store.

Will I be able to generate 15amps in my honda cigarette lighter to power tyre air compressor which is rated to work at that?

depends on the fuse rating for that circuit-you should be able to find that information in your owners manual, but if you do not have one,m plugging in the compressor and running it will determine if it is rated to rund that load-the fuse will pop, or it won't. 15 amps is not a large draw, you did not list the year and model but most power ports are 20+ amp rated and older cars (with cigarette lighters) were 30 amp.

Cigarette lighter not working

Have you tried plugging something like a phone charger into the lighter socket to make sure there is power there to start with ?

If there is power then either the cigar lighter element is shot or there is a bad joint which is breaking down when the cigar lighter load is applied

No power to cigarette lighter/power outlet (front & rear)..

Replace the 15 amp ACC fuse that is in the fusebox under the dash. See if this eliminates your problem.
