Check your fuel pressure under a load. Possible fuel line restriction. Also check the tps for on open signal at WOT
wide open throttle.

Sounds like you have more power in the upper RPM's. Alot of cars feel the power band with-in 4K-5K RPM.

had the same issue, had someone look and it seems the noise was caused by heat shield being loose covering exhaust system. Have that checked out.
