each headlamp assembly has it's own fuse and or relay. check these first. after that you can check continuity of the power wire from the relay. also check the ground wire

the knock sensors are on the side of the engine block. they screw directly into the block. most easily accessed with the car raised up

sensor is bad. you can try electric contact cleaner but youre probably going to replace it.

The Problem that I Have seen with Many Vettes and FRONT Lighting Problems is At the Wiring Harness and Connectors, Check Any area that gets BENDING MOVMENT when Openeing ENGINE COMPARTMENT, the Wires Break INSIDE THERE INSULATION. Check for Turn Sygnal Current (With TEST LIGHT) at ALL JUNCTIONS Starting at the FIREWALL when it STOPS SHOWING You have Located the Problem in the Curcit.

why not just disable the motors while in up position?
