The radio seems to have shorted out. Radio no longer turns on, and the turn signal no longer makes noise but still lights up. This is a 2003 saab 9-3 arc. I checked the fuses for the front dash and radio and they looked fine. Is there anything else I can check for a hopefully cheap fix?

When this happend to my Saab 2003 9-3 it was the amp that was faulty. It is below the drivers seat and when getting in/out of my car water/snow must have got on it and blew it out. When I removed it there was corosion and rust on it-in my opinion it is a bad spot for a amp. Dealer quoted me $1300 to replace. I am currently looking for less expensive options. I did discover a website www.saabradio.com that may be of help to you.

My 2003 Saab 9-5 Aero 4-cyl Turbo Won't start. However, I have power in car, lights windows and radio works. But it won't turn-over. It could be Starter or Starter Relay. I can't find out

Ok, those systems might still work because the not require as much energy as the starter. Check the Battery Voltage with a good Voltmeter. If below 12, there might be your problem!

I have a 9-3 saab and ive had new battery put in my car and something is draining battery it wont hold a charge what could it be??? I should also say that my radio amp has gone too.

A mechanic would disconnect the battery and check each circuit for a short to ground or a voltage draw with the key off.
Common problems are a light left on or a faulty relay.

My 2002 chevy malibu's radio seems to be shorting out, the radio will work fine but randomly the sound shuts off the radio still shows the radio station and even says which artist is playing but there...

I'd suggest using the balance and fade controls to cut out each speaker one by one. to possibly determine if you have shorted speaker or speaker wiring. As far as the turn signal clicking noise, the hazard switch is the actual flasher unit for the turn signals, and could be the culprit, but the most likely cause is the turn signal switch itself. It is usually caused by corrosion across the contacts, which can be cleaned out fairly easily, but more typically, the switch is just replaced

2004 9-3 SAAB...jumped started and it resulted in no radio and no clicking of signal lights

Sounds like a blown fuse. Start by checking all fuses and replacing as needed.

2001 SAAB 9-3 SE won't send signal to start

Is your SAAB automatic? If so, it is most likely the Neutral Safety Switch. I have had the same problem, it is very common in automatic Saab 9-3 models made in 1999-2002.
