What can i do the stop the "death wobble" in my 2001 suburban.

The front end wobbles when i run over a rough section of road or hit a bump. there also seems to be a "hum" comming from the left front.

Try taking it in to a shop and have the tie rods and stirring checked the hum would be your wheel bearing. you need to have a mechanic work on it

This sounds like a wheel bearing problem the easiest way to check is to jack up the front end until the wheels clear the ground grab the top and bottom of the wheel and move them back and forth and see if there is any slack in it.
