My keyless remote (key fob) will not lock or unlock the driver's door. It works fine on the other 3 doors, the tailgate, the tailgate window and panic.

The drivers side door gets the most use
Check the actuator wiring coming through the door hinge
If it works from the key then the Power to the door is OK & the key switch is ok. Must be trigger wire from wireless device receiver!
There are no keyless entry remote self-programming instructions for the 2008 Chevy Uplander. You must get an Automotive Locksmith to program the remote to your vehicle for you.
Theres only 1 way to tell if it will work - try it :)
Here is the procedure to marry a new remote to your truck.
1. Close all doors and then open drivers door and press
the UNLOCK button on drivers door panel while door is open and insert
key in ignition. 2.Turn ignition
from OFF to RUN (not start) 8 times within 10 seconds, with the 8th time ending
in RUN. Door locks will cycle to confirm programming
mode. 3. Within 20 seconds press any button on first keyless
remote. Door locks will cycle to confirm
programming. 4. Within 20 seconds, press any button on second keyless
remote. Door locks will cycle again to confirm
programming. 5. Turn ignition to OFF. Locks will again cycle
to indicate end of programming mode.
Both the Escape and LT program the same - the transponder should have the same resistance.
Try it out!!

you will have to write your vehicles vin number down wich is if you look throught the windshild on the drivers side you will see it its a little plate with numbers but right down the vin number and take you drivers license and Registration with you to the chevy dealer ship and request the remote for that vehicle. and they should be able to get you one. as far as i know the remote is the only way to get the alarm off. I hope this helps you
there are 3 possibilities that I would check first. 1: make sure the contacts on the door, and body where the touch are clean. the lock and unlock signal are sent through these. 2: You may try replacing the battery in your key fob. 3: the power lock motors may have gone bad. To check, lock the doors with the drivers door panel, if they lock, they are fine. Another solution may be to recode your key fob. procedure for coding the fob to your vehicle can be found online.
