How do you fix the driver side air blend door actuator?

How do you fix the driver side air blend door actuator on a 2003 Yukon? I believe this might be my problem...SOMETIMES the air blowing out of the driver's side vents is hot. By shutting the truck off and restarting it, the problem often goes away. I recently replaced a fried blower motor control module. Thanks in advance!

You cannot repair the actuator you need to replace it with new one. These motors turn but get weak with time. if you test it, it works, put it in and it doesn't. this is because the motor is weak, unfortunately GM does not sell these motors separately.

My 2002 Yukon xl front ac only blows outside air temp. Rear air works great what could it be??

The common cause of this is a failed air temperature control. blend door and or the electric actuator that moves it. The dealer can do a test scan to confirm this, the repair is very expensive if the blend door is the cause and it has burnt out the actuator motor because the door is warped and jammed, which is the most common cause.

How do i fix a stuck blend door on 2010 dodge nitro?

I would pull off the blend door actuator and swap it out with a new one. Or another option is to swap it out with one of the other actuators. The blend door actuator is interchangeable with the actuators for the mode-air doors and the recirculation-air door.

Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.

If equipped, remove the silencer from below the driver side of the instrument panel.

Disconnect the wire harness connector from the blend door actuator located on the driver side of the air distribution housing.

Remove the two screws that secure the blend door actuator to the actuator mounting bracket and remove the actuator

Where is the blend door actuator located on 03 Hummer h2. Driver side blows cold, passenger side blows hot

They are not vac on the h2. there is 2 for temp control, one for recirc and one for blend. check the hummer forum as there is a great read for it there. the driver side actuator is really ez as it's under the glovebox, 20 min fix. the rest take removing the whole dash but it's not that tough.

Driver side blowing hot air passenger side blowing cold air

I'm having the same problem except on mine it's the driver's side that's blowing cold. Do you have the pictures in a finer resolution? I can't make them out and when I zoom, they are too grainy. Does the replacement require removing the dashboard? What's the general cost of the acuators? Are they readily available at like NAPA or other parts stores?

2004 Chevrolet Tahoe..not blowing hot air on driver side..only on the passenger side..and the back work properly...

I am having the exact same problem in my 04 tahoe. DO NOT replace the switch panel. It costs around $140 and will not fix it. I am going to try the main blend door actuator this weekend, but I'm not certain it will fix it. From what I see on the schematics there are several actuators but I believe only 2 control the blend and the other two control the direction. I have been reading that this is a very common problem that can cost in the upwards of $1000 to get it fixed at the dealership. I'll let you know if replacing the main blend door actuator fixes the problem

Where is the driver side blend door actuator on a 98 Seville STS?

I believe that the right side has a blend door actuator, and the left side or driver side just gets air from the regular flow from the programmer and vacuum motors.

2004 Yukon, air whether it's AC, heat or just vent doesn't go where the mode says it should. Mostly comes out the defrost ports on the dash. This is for both the driver, passenger and rear seat controls.

This is probably due to a faulty blend door or blend door actuator. The blend door is a device inside the dash that directs the air flow to the desired vent. Sometimes they will fail, but usually is an actuator. Unfortunately, you will have to remove the dash to see if this is the problem. If you have never removed the dash on a Yukon, you are in for a very big job. Here is also some good information
