Car has been excelant but now I am starting to hear a wine at slow speeds andd then it goes away. Hope this goes away because I will not repair this if I can not fix myself. I also own three old Fords with over 200,000 miles on them that run and are cheap and easy to fix. Of course I do not use mechanics cause I can read a cookbook to. Please be something minor because this has been a good car for the past 5 years. I do my own maintance but only know how to work on old Fords and do not want to buy books and manuals, tools etc for the Honda. If I can not fix it, It will be parked and replaced with another old Ford I guess. Honda, do not let me down.

Not the power steering pump or the cv joints, did find one front tire with low presure.(24PSi needs 35) It started last night and could here it as I started rolling and then disapeared. Heard it again this morning but now gone again. Almost sounded like the brakes but just finished taking off wheels and inspecected all. looks like the front and rear passanger side tires have wear on the inside on michline rain guards at only 50K. really wished that I had caught this sooner.$$$$$ Have parked the car for now and will drive my expedition at 14 mpg until I have more time to look for a honest alignment shop near Dallas. Never had to do any work on this vehicle in 100K miles and has really been a good car. We do drive Honda ATVs and a few MX bikes, Honda is the only import that i would even own due to pricey parts as they age. I guess I will have to get dirty but I do not do alignments, transmission or body work. Any sugestions on getting a good shop manual for this 2005 Honda Civic EX? 30 years of great Fords with dealer DVDs but they are not known for good gas mileage no matter what any one says.Just sold my 94 Ford diesel F350 4X4 with 425,000 miles on it. I hope Honda can give me the same as the old Fords.
A whine usually comes from the power steering pump. Is the whine worse when you make sharp turns? Charlie
