I'm having a problem with the dome light and both reading lights. they all stopped working at the same time. I checked the fuses and they look fine. The car is a 2004 Buick Century I don't know if it's related but the door/trunk open light on the dash is also lit. I have checked all of the doors and trunk and they are all closed. Thanks for your help

For your first problem I would suggest taking a test light and double checking the fuses I would always recommend doing that because I have worked on numerous vehicles where the fuses were pulled and not replaced firmly and not making contact (just a good thorough habit to get into) if your fuse has power check for power on either your dome or personal reading lamps they are both on the same circuit. If you have power then replace the bulbs if not you will need to check for power between the lights to your illuminator/interior light switch this should isolate if you have a defective circuit ie:shorted, cut, loose wire connection which would need to be repaired. Your second problem the trunk open indicator showing it is still on when closed: open your trunk with the key on have someone push the trunk lid jamb switch several times to check for proper function if it still shows to be opened then it will need to be replaced if it goes on and off as it should then you should check your weather strip/struts and all components & function of trunk to ensure it is properly closing and not out of proper alignment. Hope this helps and if you have any more questions let me know.

Have you tried a little squirt of wd40 or graphite in the door jam switch and then hand manipulate it a few times?
