Looking for the rubber gaskets around the headlights of my 2000 pontiac grand am, any idea where I can find them?

Is it the rubber trim that surrounds the headlight assembly? There is a flexible piece of black rubbery trim that reduces wind noise and helps to keep water and stuff out. Although this piece can be seperated from the headlight, I've never seen it sold seperately.

Call a Buick dealer and ask the parts department about that item.

If you need to buy an entire headlight, you can find them remarkably cheap, brand new, for under $40 each (including the bulbs!). Try looking on Amazon.com or Google Shopping for "2002 Grand Am headlight".

Good luck from Detroit, MI.

We purchased a 2005 Lexus RX 330 in New York through ebay on Nov 14. Truck hauler delivered it to central Arkansas Dec 5. Has moisture in passenger side front headlight. Not noticed by previous owner. ...

The headlight is a two piece unit, usually glass in the front with a plastic backing. It's sealed where the two pieces join together but that joint may eventually leak, allowing some water into the housing. You will have to remove the entire headlight housing from the vehicle if you want to reseal it properly, all around. On a lighter note, a little moisture in the headlight housing will not affect anything, if it doesn't burn out your headlight bulb.

The plastic piece that holds the headlight bulb is broke. Can I replace that piece without buying the whole headlight?

you might be able to find one at a salvage yard but you should be able to purchase that piece on it's own at the dealership.

How do you adjust headlights??

The best way to do it is to park your car in front on a garage door, a building or put a piece of plywood in front. Whichever you use, park you car at least 10 feet away; so you can tell if you are going up, down or in the middle when adjusting.
  1. Remove the four screws that secure the headlight trim bezel to the grille.
  2. Remove the headlight trim bezel.
  3. Turn the headlight high beams on.
  4. Adjust the headlights. Use the adjustment screws located along the outboard side and the inboard lower corner of the headlight bucket. Adjust the headlights until the beams are centered directly on the wall.
  5. Replace the headlight trim bezel.

Headlight is busted out including casing. if i buy a new headlight do they come with the casing

I'm not entirely sure of what you mean as the casing...However: the headlight is a one piece unit (front clear cover, and back/mount). The bulbs are usually sold separately if purchased new. A used parts yard usually sells the headlight assembly as one piece, bulbs included. It can simply be bolted back in and the bulbs plugged back in.

Headlight piece

I would suggest going to a junkyard -- that's the best place to get pieces of assemblies without paying a fortune.
