I have toyota prado and the fan belt has gone (i think it is the one for the air con) I don't know how to put the new one on as I am unsure of which bolts need to be undone to get into it?
I don't have a owners maual so not sure if that is what it is called. There are 3 fan belts at front of engine with 3 cogs for each belt. There should be a release lever on one of the pulleys so that you can easily put on a new belt once the belt is on make sure the lever reingages, there should also be digram on the engine or close by to walk you through it

It is better to buy them by 'year make model' rather than part numbers. It is called a 'Serpentine Belt' because they no long drive the radiator cooling fan :>)
its got 2 belts drop lower shield drop condensr pulley then take out battery 8 bolts that hold in battetry box then 14mm adj bolt to alt then change belts tighten relace all.about an hour if not on driveway.battery box needs to be out to get room for alt

Are you referring to the serpentine belt?
