There is a relay that provides hot to blower when requested from front control module. The ground circuit comes from the control head through the resistor block for the speed's. If voltage is present on the black wire ground the green wire and the blower should run. Most likely resistor is defective.most common.

My 2004 dodge caravan front heater speed control switch does not work on all settings.

The blower motor resistor is going bad. There is a fine wire in the resistor, when bad it will not work for all speeds of the motor.Differant size wires for the fan speeds in the resistor. God-Bless!

Heater fan wont turn on

first check the fuse for the blower fan. if ok check if there is current going to the fan plug on top of the passenger kick panel or behind the glove compartment if there is current change the blower fan and the fan resistor next to it.

Dodge caravan heat fan won't work

If it is the fan/blower that is not working (as opposed to what is coming out is cold), then the problem could be 1) fuse 2) Blower Resistor. I just replaced the blower resistor in about 15 min with a $25 replacement resistor. The unit is right behind the glove box.

If the problem is that the air coming out is cold and not hot, then the thermostat, radiator, heater core, etc... are the more likley causes.

AC on Caravan

you have either a bad blower motor resister or a bad blower motor. the resister is located in the heater box close to the blower motor.

My front fan blower stopped working, the rear one works fine

I had the same problem. It was the blower motor resistor. To verify this, open the glove compartment and push in on the sides to release it from the dash. The resistor is right in front bolted into the duct with two screws (9mm Hex head) and their are two electrical harnesses connected, one with 5 wires and the other with 2 wires. To bypass the resistor, take a piece of wire and connect the plain dark blue wire to the black wire. If the blower comes on, the resistor is bad. Make sure that you have the fan on high to tell if it runs. The resistor should be in stock at a dealership and cost approximately $30. The Blower Motor Assembly costs about $90. Removal of the part is simple, disconnect the two harnesses and unbolt the two screws.

2005 dodge grand caravan

check the fan blower relay. this is the one powering up the blue wire going to the motor.

maybe it has a separate fuse. check from other locations. could be in the passenger kick panel.
