My 1999 buick park avenue a/c will blow out at window vent and floor vent but not at dash vent

It's one of the blend door motor drive gears that has cracked. As the motors try to move the blend doors to divert the air flow, the gear attached to them slips on the drive shaft. You need to remove them, inspect for the broken or cracked drive gear and replace them. This is a very common problem with these older GM vehicles.

My air conditioner blows air out on top by the window and on the floor but not in the middle on the dashboard. What part do i need to fix this and where is it located in the dashboard or under the hood?...

  • If the AC/heater air control doesn't work, you most likely have a vacuum line broken. All the air flow doors in the heater system are vacuum operated and without it the air will blow out of the windshield defrost vents. The common place for a vacuum line to break is under the hood where the lines pass near a hot area. The vacuum lines are normally a rigid black plastic tubing about 3/16 inch in diameter. They run across the engine compartment fastened to the section just below the wipers and air vent. The tube goes through the dash, usually near the steering column. When the tubing has been hot for long time it becomes brittle and cracks or breaks. Trace this tubing looking for a crack or break. The easiest repair is to cut out the broken section and replace it with rubber hose of the correct diameter. The hose needs to have an inside diameter that will fit snugly on to the vacuum tubing.

The air condition blows from floor and defrost and not the vent

Check vacuum hose on passenger side under hood, check for vacuum to it, hose will go into fire wall.

Nothing blows out dash vents, but will blow out thru defrost nad floor vents on 1999 buick PA with dual auto air controls

check for a vacuum leak in the hose going to the heater controls. Goes from engine compartment, through firewall, into dash to control head. Also, has a vacuum storage canister under hood. When system fails, it defaults to defrost.

1995 Buick Park Avenue - A/C air flows through windshield vents only and not midcar or floor vents.

You have a vacuum problem either to the AC control head or a problem with the ac control head.
