I Just bought this used 2003 Pontiac Montana and on the test drive it beeped continually while driving in forward or reverse. It doesn't beep while in Park with engine on. It seems like the beeping noise is coming from the back. Started the next day and all is well.
I have the same thing going on now and it started when it was very cold and its driving me crazy and my van seems to love to roll back down when stopped on hillsI have the same thing going on now and it started when it was very cold and its driving me crazy and my van seems to love to roll back down when stopped on hills

My van did this aswell, you must have a power sliding door, when it is not latched properly this warning goes off but it won't say on your message center "door ajar". Stop and reopen the door and close it again no more bell. good luck.
Sounds like someone installed an after market back-up warning device that may have become defective. Other beeping when driving could be the signal light reminder to turn it off.....but this doesn't usually come on until aprox 3 mins after signal light is left flashing.

Do you have the pump drive pulley off yet? Remove the drive belt, remove the 3 mounting bolts (15mm) by using a socket ththrough the holes in the drive pulley. Remove the upper intake manifold to give elbow room, slide off the rubber return hose, remove the pressure line and lift out the pump. Just reverse the process to instill the new pump. And fill with the proper fluid.
I would need to hear the noise to tell you what It might be for sure. Does it have an aftermarket alarm system maybe? if so the beeps may be the signal it is armed/disarmed. If it only beeps and no other issue then just drive it and leave it alone.
talk with a service centre but it would not be unusual for the vehicle to have a reversing alarm fitted especially if the alarm stops on selecting forward gears

you will need a 15mm wrench, a pad spreder, and high temp greese
1 remove the lower caliper bolt
2 lift the caliper uppward
3 remove the inner and outer pad
4 depress the caliper
5 lube upper and lower sides of the new pads and rear of pad (this will preent squeeks)
6 reverse procedure
remember pump brakes at least 10 times before test driving have fun and good luck
